Project Procurement
Procurement
for the Dam safety and Water Resources Planning Project would
be carried out in accordance with the World Bank “Guidelines:
Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits” of May 2004;
and “Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants
by World Bank Borrowers” of May 2004, and the provisions
stipulated in the Financing Agreement. Items to be procured
under different expenditure categories, methods of procurement
for goods and works and for selection of consultants, need for
prequalification, estimated costs, prior review requirements,
and time frame are agreed between the Government of Sri Lanka
and the World Bank and included in the Procurement Plan.
The Procurement
Plan will be updated annually or earlier if required to reflect
the actual project implementation needs and improvements in
institutional capacity. The updated procurement plan shall also
be reviewed and cleared by the World Bank. Updated Procurement
