All Parties Agreed to Rehabilitate Tabbowa Dam

Prior to the implementation of the rehabilitation program of Tabbowa Dam,Signing of the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding ) by the representatives of the farmer organizations of Tabbowa project area, with Regional Director of Irrigation, Puttalam , Project Director of DSWRPP and District Secretary, Puttalam took place in recently. IEC (Information Education and Communication) campaign for raising awareness of all stakeholders on renovation program of Tabbowa dam has been completed. With this awareness creation and by signing of the MOU, potentially affected communities and other participating agencies came in to agreement on their responsibilities and obligations. People have given their willingness and support for this renovation program of dam of the Tabbowa tank with this agreement. ECL , The local consultancy firm facilitated the whole process of signing of MOU under the guidance of the DSWRP Project.
