Ceremonial distribution of field vehicles to improve the operational efficiency of Dams (2009.12.16) Arrangements have been made to provide 21 field vehicles to the implementing agencies of the project to improve the operational & maintenance efficiencies of the dams selected for the project intervention.The keys of first set of field vehicles were handed over to the Heads of the implementing agencies at the ceremony held at the Mahaweli Centre on 16th December 2009 at 2.00 p.m. Department of Irrigation, Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka, Water Resources Board and Ceylon Electricity Board received the vehicles at the ceremony. Here, the Hon. Maithripala Sirisena,Minister of Agriculture Development and Agrarian Services is handing over the keys of vehicles to heads of Implementing Agencies.
