Project Monitoring & Evaluation

In a nutshell, the principle scope of the project Monitoring and Evaluation is to examine, review, evaluate and report how effectively, efficiently and timely the project is moving towards achieving Project Development Objectives and substantiating using data and information deduced from baseline surveys, special studies, regular monitoring formats and evaluations carried out by the project.

 

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of the project has four distinct objectives such as

 

  1. Monitor and evaluate results and impacts to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of project interventions;
  2. Provide a basis for decision making on necessary amendments and improvements for project implementation plan;
  3. Foster accountability and transparency of resources used; and

 

document, provide feedback on lessons learned and dissemination of results among project stakeholders.

In this regard project Results Framework is used to assess the project performance using results indicators. A mix of tools is used to gather information for Results Framework which will be applied continuously throughout the lifetime of the project.

 

As an integral part of the project M&E, periodic progress reviews are conducted at different time intervals such as monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annually. The information collected thorough various information gathering tools adopted by M&E system is used to produce various reports and some of reports are presented in this section for public reference.
